With the annual cost of sickness absence estimated at over £100 million, employee health and wellbeing is at the centre of debate to help reduce absences and loss of productivity to workplaces. Suffolk Sport, the County Sports Partnership for Suffolk, has been working with businesses large and small across the county to increase health awareness and promote the benefits that being active can bring to workplaces.
As such, Suffolk Sport has developed a Workplace Health programme with customisable features to provide workplaces with tailor-made services to help employee health and wellbeing.
Packages feature Boditrax Testing and a 20 minute Health and Wellbeing consultation with a qualified personal trainer (minimum 15 people required). Boditrax is a quick, non invasive way to understand 16 different body composition measures, including Muscle mass, Fat mass, Bone Mass, Visceral Fat, Water Mass, how our metabolism is working and more. This is a much more accurate way to understand your health, and your results will be explained to you by a fitness professional. This will give you the opportunity to discuss your goals and areas for improvement in a confidential 1-1 setting.
Package 2 also includes a 6 week Exercise and Nutrition Programme. Suffolk Sport will organise a weekly exercise and nutrition programme at your workplace with a fitness professional, at a time convenient for you. This will involve some exercise aimed at all fitness levels, as well as nutrition advice, such as how to make healthy snacks and lunches for work.
Other services such as bootcamps, beginner running programmes, exercise classes, sports days, team building days, mental health training are also available.
