There are lots of activities, programmes and events taking place across Northamptonshire to help you get active and stay active! So why not encourage your friends, colleagues and family to take up something new and don't forget to log your activity for a chance to win prizes!

BREEZE - Group bike rides, led by women, for women
Why not get on your bike - its a BREEZE!! Breeze aims is to help thousands more women feel confident and comfortable about going on a ride. The rides are organised by trained volunteer champions and fit around the work and family lives of busy women. So why not dig out your bike and join the social, friendly, women only bike rides in your local area.
Paddles at the Ready!
Go Canoeing is suitable for both adults and families through Starter Sessions, aimed at beginners and those returning to the sport, ran by clubs and centres across the country to give people a try.
Guided Tours are suitable for beginners, whilst some are aimed at those with some canoeing experience ran by Official Go Canoeing Guided Tour providers and inducted Tour Guides. With the emphasis on social aspect of canoeing Tour Guides will give information on local wildlife, sights and history, typically over two hours.
Canoe Trails are aimed at those with some canoeing experience to help people find new and exciting places to go canoeing.

It's really easy to get started, you don't need any special equipment - and best of all it counts towards your recommended amount of physical activity.

Jog your way to fitness!
Our network of jogging groups based all over Northamptonshire can help you get fitter and more active. If you are new to running then Jog Northants is the perfect way to get you started and running regularly. Jog Northants caters for all running abilities and fitness levels and each group is led by a qualified leader who provides support, guidance and motivation.
Hate the gym? Love the outdoors? Then try Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking provides a gentle but effective way to work the whole body strengthening 90% of the body's skeletal muscles improving muscle tone, mobility & fitness. It is also effective for loosing weight loss burn up to 46% more calories than ordinary walking.
Fresh air, friendly competition, every Saturday at 9am.
Hit the great outdoors with parkrun's free weekly 5km events. There are two parkrun's in county which take place at The Racecourse, Northampton and West Glebe Park in Corby. Entry is free but you need to register online first.
