Modern day life makes it hard to be healthy, so it's not surprising that most of us are not fitting enough physical activity into our days. Sitting down at work and commuting by car or public transport means we're not active for a lot of the working day and technology allows us to shop and stay in touch without ever having to leave the sofa.

The British Red Cross are looking for people to pull on their trainers, strap on their Fitbit, and make their miles count this September.
Miles for Refugees is a unique challenge. Participants chose a distance from 22 to 2,700 miles and then, throughout September, walk, swim, cycle or run to reach their target.

High blood pressure has no symptoms – that's why it's called the silent killer, so the only way to know if you are at risk from a stroke or heart disease is to have a blood pressure check.

The 5k course starts in a sea of bubbles and features four Bubble Stations along the route where our cannons pump out coloured bubbles. Every course is family friendly, so you can run, jog, walk or toddle through the foam. You can even dance if you want to! The most important thing is that you enjoy your time in the bubbles!

National Fitness Day is taking place on Wednesday 27th September, it sees the nation celebrate the fun and thrills of physical activity through a range of free events and activity sessions.

The Suffering introduced its entry level 5km race in 2013 and it follows the tradition of The Suffering with extended distances (on average 7km), amazing terrain and challenging obstacles. The Suffering 5k is great fun and will keep you guessing with every step you take.

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year. The day provides an opportunity "for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide". This year's theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is mental health in the workplace.
