Kent's 8 week #ActiveTravel Challenge is all about swapping motorised transport for two legs or two wheels.

We're inviting you to log any #ActiveTravel between 1st May and 30th June 2017 and you'll be in with a chance of winning some great prizes! Prizes include high street shopping vouchers, Kent Country Park Annual Passes, Workplace Challenge goodies and much more!

If you run, walk or cycle instead of using motorised transport, largely for functional reasons e.g. travelling to work, the local shops and/or a leisure activity, it can be counted as #ActiveTravel.

Not only will walking, running or cycling save you money, it may also save you time and will also help you reach the recommended guidelines of 150 minutes of moderate physical activity every week.

If you don't currently complete any of your journeys actively, why not ditch the car and try completing a couple of shorter journeys by foot or bike. For longer distances, try incorporating public transport into the journey, for example, take the bus, get off one stop earlier and walk or train and cycle some of your journey.

To feature on our #ActiveTravel Challenge leaderboard and to be entered into the Challenge prize draw, just remember to log any part of your journey that is completed by walking, cycling or running on the workplace challenge app or website. When you log your walking, running or cycling activity, remember to tick the box that says 'ACTIVE TRAVEL?'.
